Membership

According to the decision of the board, a doctor who has been legalised or licensed to practise medicine in Finland and who has completed a specialist degree in internal medicine or a closely related specialty or is a doctor specialising in this field may be accepted as a member of the Society. According to the Society's statutes, two members must be in favour of an applicant for membership.

The Finnish Society of Internal Medicine is a member of EFIM (European Federation of Internal Medicine) and UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists).

The annual meeting of the association sets the membership fee. The membership fee for 2023 is 50€.

The Society organises several educational meetings each year.
